NOPD Continues Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery at Texas Drive and Seine Street

The NOPD continues to search for an armed robbery suspect who robbed a cab driver, and is seeking assistance from the public.

At approximately 2:15 a.m. on October 9, 2016, the victim reported that he responded to a call for a taxi in the 3200 block of General DeGaulle Drive. The suspect got into the cab and the driver took the unknown male to the intersection of Texas Drive and Seine Street. Upon arrival at that location, the unknown male produced a knife and the two became involved in a physical altercation that left the driver injured. The suspect then took the money from the cab and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male 5’6” to 5’8” tall and weighing 130-150 pounds. He has a dark complexion, thin build, and is approximately 25 - 30 years old. He appeared to have a tattoo of the letters M.O.B. and an arrow on his left hand.
