Gunman, Vehicle Sought from Armed Robbery on South Carrollton

Gunman, Vehicle Sought from Armed Robbery on South Carrollton

The NOPD needs the public’s assistance in locating the gunman responsible for an armed robbery in the 2400 block of South Carrollton, as well as the vehicle he stole.

 

At approximately 7:15 p.m. on November 6, 2016, the victim reported that an unknown white male approached her and stuck a semi-automatic pistol into her stomach. He then demanded the keys to her vehicle and her cellular phone. The victim complied and he drove away in her gold 2012 Chevy Cruz with North Carolina license plate number #DBC5892. He was last seen headed southbound on South Carrollton Avenue.

 

 The gunman is described as being a white male in his mid-20s, approximately 5'11" tall with a slim build. He has short dirty blonde or brown hair and was wearing black pants, a black baseball hat with white lettering and a black long sleeve shirt with a unknown red design on the front.

Armed Robbery

In Louisiana, an armed robbery conviction requires the offender to be imprisoned at hard labor for 10 – 99 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. When a firearm is used in the commission of the crime, the offender will be imprisoned for an additional 5 years that will be served consecutively to the original sentence.
