New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for theft and illegal possession of stolen things.
Wanted is Alfred Cary Smith (pictured), Black male, DOB 12/31/1963.
On April 15, 2026 the victim's cellular telephone was stolen at a location in the French Quarter. The cellular phone was later sold at a business in the 1900 block of Tchoupitoulas Street.
Through investigation, detectives identified Alfred Cary Smith as being the person who sold the stolen telephone. A warrant is on file for his arrest.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
