The following is a weekly report of citywide crime statistics compiled by the NOPD Analytics Unit for the period of May 19-25, 2024.
Please note that these statistical figures are preliminary and subject to further analysis and revision.
Notable stats include Year-to-Date Vehicle burglaries- 1051 compared to 1989 at this time last year, a reduction of 47%.
Arrests of note include: Joseph C. Davis, Black male DOB: 07-24-1985 who was arrested on May 25, 2024 in connection with the investigation into two sexual assaults along the Lafitte Greenway.
