The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on August 24, 2021, in the 3900 block of Downman Road.
At about 3:16 p.m. on August 24, 2021, Seventh District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 3900 block of Downman Road, at or around 3:16 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim outside lying on the ground suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives have developed the unknown subject seen pictured and in surveillance video footage (see video clip here) as a person of interest. The person of interest was seen exiting a dark colored Ford F-150 truck prior to boarding a bus. The subject is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel this person may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview them.
