NOPD Makes Arrest in Armed Robbery in Sixth District

The NOPD has arrested a woman in connection with an armed robbery in the Sixth District on May 4, 2023. 

Simeko Alexander (black female, DOB: 12-19-1984) was apprehended by NOPD officers and members of the Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) on May 8, 2023, at a residence in the 1800 block of Baronne Street.

She was wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the 1300 block of St. Andrew Street in which the victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by an unknown woman who later used the victim's credit card. 

Through investigation, detectives identified Simeko Alexander as the perpetrator of this incident.

Alexander was arrested on charges of armed robbery after officers allegedly found evidence linking her to the robbery.

All persons are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
