NOPD Arrests Suspect in Homicide Investigation

The NOPD has arrested Lostin Lee (black male, DOB: 03-21-1989) in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on June 1, 2023, in the 3800 block of General Taylor Street.

Around 9:41 p.m. on June 1, NOPD Second District officers responded to a call of a shot person in the 3800 block of General Taylor Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a 34-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

A male subject who initially reported the incident to police, later identified as Lee, was detained on scene by arriving officers. Lee was transported for further questioning, after which an arrest warrant was obtained on one count of second-degree murder. Lee was booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
