Murder Suspect Arrested by NOPD after Brief Standoff in Sixth District

The NOPD's Violent Offender Warrant Squad along with the U.S. Marshals have arrested Larry Davis (DOB: 11-13-1990) after brief stand-off today (May 8, 2023) in the Sixth District.

This morning NOPD VOWS and the U.S. Marshals were attempting to execute an arrest warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Annunciation Street when the suspect, Larry Davis, allegedly refused to submit to police and barricaded himself inside.

A SWAT Roll was declared with the Special Operations Division being called to the scene around 10:30a.m.  

A short time later, Davis peacefully surrendered to NOPD without incident.

He was wanted on second degree murder charges in connection with a homicide on March 28, 2023, in the 800 block of North Tonti Street.

Davis was transported to the Orleans Justice Center and booked on charges of Second- Degree Murder, and Obstruction of Justice.
