NOPD Announces Violent Crime Arrests, Clearances Between May 15-21

Listed below are arrests or clearances by warrant obtained between May 15-21, 2022, in violent crime investigations by the NOPD:

Armed Robbery /Carjacking

  • On May 19, NOPD First District officers arrested Tyrique Jefferson (pictured, black male, DOB: 09-19-2001) for principle to armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and access device fraud. The arrest came in connection with an incident on April 10 in the 2000 block of Lafitte Street.
  • On May 19, NOPD First District detectives arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male (not pictured) for carjacking. The arrest was made in connection with an incident on November 11, 2021, in the 1400 block of North Galvez Street. The suspect was found to be incarcerated in the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center on an unrelated arrest and was rebooked accordingly.
  • On May 15, 2022, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Austin Levalley (pictured, white male, DOB: 09-18-1983) for armed robbery with a firearm, illegal carrying of a weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and resisting an officer. The arrest came in connection with an incident that occurred on May 15 at the intersection of Carondelet and Gravier streets. Levalley was additional arrested for auto theft in connection with an April 1 incident in the 400 block of Common Street.
  • On May 17, NOPD Third District officers arrested Jeremy Stokes (pictured, black male, DOB: 11-27-1984) for armed robbery with a firearm. The arrest was made in connection with the investigation of an incident on May 7 in the 3100 block of Gentilly Boulevard.
  • On May 17, NOPD Eighth District detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Halbert Wilson Jr. (pictured, black male, DOB: 08-30-1972) on charges of armed robbery and use of a firearm in an armed robbery. The warrant comes in the investigation of an incident on May 15 in the 800 block of Saint Louis Street.
  • On May 16, NOPD Second District officers arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male (not pictured) for two counts of armed robbery and two counts of use of a firearm in a robbery. The arrest was made in the investigation of an incident on May 15 in the 4300 block of Willow Street.
