NOPD Arrests Suspect in Homicide Investigation

The NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad today (May 19, 2021) arrested Abryanne Jones (pictured, black female, DOB: 08-06-1997) in the ongoing investigation of a homicide of Keenan Bayham on March 29, 2021 in the 5900 block of Boeing Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives initially developed Jones as a person of interest in the investigation. However, as the investigation progressed, detectives determined that Jones to be a principle to the homicide. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Jones on a charge of principle to second-degree murder.

Jones was located and arrested today without incident by VOWS officers. She was booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

Investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing. No further details are currently available.
