NOPD Seeking to Interview Person of Interest in Homicide Investigation

NOPD Seeking to Interview Person of Interest in Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking to interview a subject identified as a person of interest in the homicide of Kendrick Mayes, which occurred on May 25, 2019 in the 2200 block of North Galvez Street.

Jenae Webster (DOB: 01-06-1992) is not currently wanted in this investigation. However, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives believe that she has valuable information pertinent to the investigation.

NOPD Fifth District officers initially responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 2200 block of North Galvez Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS, at which time the incident was reclassified as a homicide

Additionally, through the course of the investigation, James Earl Webster (DOB: 11-09-1987) was positively identified on May 26 as the perpetrator of the above homicide and is currently wanted.
