The NOPD is investigating a business burglary that occurred at or around 11:19 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 in the 600 block of Canal Street.
The reporting person told police the subject gained entry to the business through an unlocked side door. The subject was observed on surveillance footage loitering in the lobby area, searching through a desk and attempting to open a mail box. The subject then fled the location with a set of keys and various small hand tools after being confronted by a resident.
