Suspect Wanted in Auto Burglary on Touro Street

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating and identifying an individual believed to be responsible for an auto burglary that occurred in the 800 block of Touro Street on May 22, 2017.

At about 2:54 p.m., an unknown black male was captured on video surveillance footage burglarizing the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle in question was left unlocked, allowing the unknown male subject to enter. The unknown subject took a black purse from the interior portion of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, heading south bound on Touro Street.

The subject is described as an unknown black male wearing a red and white baseball cap, white T-shirt, black shorts and a multi-colored back pack. The subject is also observed to have the victim’s black purse on his right shoulder while fleeing the scene.
