Suspect Arrested for Battery to Police Officer, Multiple Violent Offenses

NOPD Seventh District officers arrested David Hester (DOB: 6/24/1989) for domestic battery, simple robbery, auto theft, battery of a police officer, resisting an officer, stalking and unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling.

In one incident on April 13, 2017, a Seventh District officer was called to the 7900 block of Means Avenue to accompany a female victim inside of her residence to collect items. Once the officer went into the home, they discovered Hester hiding in the bedroom. The officer then order him to step out but Hester engaged in a physical encounter with the officer before fleeing the scene. 

On May 8, 2017 at approximately 10:46 a.m., Seventh District officer Stephen Stephano conducted a wanted subject search for Hester in the 7900 block of Means Avenue. Once the officer arrived at the location, the resident stated that Hester was not inside of the home. However, officer Stephano conducted a search of the home after the resident agreed to one. He then located Hester hiding in the bathroom. The subject was booked with the listed charges above.
