Pair Sought for Theft, Aggravated Assault with Firearm

The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate a male and female subject after they were both involved in a theft and aggravated assault that occurred inside of a victim's hotel room.

The incident happened on May 27, 2017. At approximately 6:30 p.m., a theft involving an aggravated assault occurred at a hotel in the 1000 block of South Peters Street. The victim told police he invited an unknown female subject into his hotel room.  After a few drinks, the female subject left the room for about 20 minutes. During that time, the victim told police he discovered several items were missing from his room.

When the female subject returned, the victim told police he asked her about the missing items. However, the female subject started to open the door while requesting if she could bring her friend inside of the room. The victim said he denied the subject from bringing her friend. As the victim attempted to shut the door, an unknown black male subject pushed the door open, armed with a silver handgun and pointed it at the victim. The unknown female and male subject then both exited the hotel room and fled in an unknown direction.

If anyone can help identify the two subjects, please contact any Eighth District Detective at (504) 658-6080. Citizens with information that can help solve a crime are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
