NOPD Investigates Homicide on Flood Street

NOPD Investigates Homicide on Flood Street

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 500 block of Flood Street today.

At around 6:45 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to several calls of shots being fired between two people. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unknown male victim suffering from gunshot wounds outside of his vehicle. Officers also discovered two parked vehicles in the area with damage. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
