NOPD Identifies Wanted Suspect in Fourth District Aggravated Assault Investigation

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for William Hale (pictured, black male, DOB: 11-06-1962) in the investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm incident that occurred on March 1, 2022, at the intersection of Bodenger and Mardi Gras boulevards.

The victim in this incident was reportedly walking on Mardi Gras Boulevard when approached by an unknown black male. The two subjects engaged in a verbal argument, during which the suspect allegedly produced a handgun and threatened the victim. As the victim attempted to leave the area, the subject reportedly fired the weapon into the ground. The suspect then left the area.

Through investigation, NOPD Fourth District detectives have developed and positively identified Hale as the perpetrator in this incident.
