NOPD Seeking Suspect in Eighth District Attempted Simple Robbery

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a suspect sought in the investigation of an attempted simple robbery that occurred on March 22, 2020.

At about 9:38 a.m., the victim was exiting a business in the 600 block of Decatur Street. As the victim walked northbound on Wilkinson Street, he was reportedly approached by the pictured subject and a second unknown black male (not pictured). As the black male allegedly distracted the victim from behind, the pictured subject reportedly attempted to grab the victim’s bags, but was unsuccessful. After a brief struggle, the pictured male and unknown black male fled the location on foot on Wilkinson Street, then unknown.
