NOPD Arrests Suspect in Multiple Second District Business Burglaries

The NOPD has arrested Bryan Joseph (pictured, DOB: 12-19-1978) in the investigations of numerous business burglary incidents in the Second District.

Between February 28 and March 18, NOPD Second District detectives responded to multiple calls for business burglaries in the district. Through investigation, detectives determined that one suspect was the perpetrator of many of these incidents. These include incidents in the 7900 block of Maple Street, the 4600 block of Magazine Street, the 700 block of Dublin Street, the 4600 block of Washington Avenue and the 4600 block of Dryades Street. Additional burglaries occurring in the NOPD’s First, Third and Sixth District – as well as in Jefferson Parish – were also connected to this perpetrator.

In each of these incidents, the perpetrator typically forced entry – often through breaking a window – and targeted the business’ cash registers.

With assistance from each of these other units, detectives were able to positively identify Joseph as the perpetrator. Joseph was arrested on March 18 without incident. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice center on seven counts of simple burglary.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Second District detectives at 504-658-6020.
