Suspect Arrested for Armed Robbery on MacArthur Boulevard

Officers in the Fourth District have arrested Elmer Rogers (DOB: 02/07/68) in connection with an armed robbery incident that occurred on March 8, 2018.

At about 4:20 p.m., an armed robbery occurred in the 4600 block of MacArthur Boulevard. Through the course of the investigation, Fourth District detectives identified Rogers as  a possible suspect. Rogers was then positively identified in a photographic line up and an arrest warrant was obtained.

Rogers, who resides in Jefferson Parish, was apprehended at his home on March 10, 2018 with assistance from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office SWAT team.  

He was transported to the Jefferson Parish correctional center where he was booked with a fugitive attachment. Rogers will later be transported to Orleans Parish prison where he will be booked with armed robbery with a firearm.
