NOPD Investigates Homicide on Brookfield Drive

NOPD Investigates Homicide on Brookfield Drive

The NOPD is investigating a homicide in the 10200 block of Brookfield Drive. 

At around 11:56 a.m., Seventh District officers responded to an unclassified death at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased, elderly female victim inside of a residence. Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined the incident to be a homicide, at which point NOPD Homicide Unit detectives took over the investigation.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
