The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred at the intersection of General Ogden and Marks Streets.
Today, Third District officers received a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the area just after 7 p.m. The incident was later updated to a homicide.
Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body outside of a corner store in the area. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
