The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Tevis Hankerson (DOB: 02-28-1998) in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 22, 2017 at the intersection of Jo Ann Place and Lawrence Street.
At about 9:30 p.m., the victim was engaged in a conversation with another individual, later identified as Hankerson. During the conversation, the victim turned his back and walked away from Hankerson. At that time, Hankerson allegedly produced a firearm and fired several gunshots toward the victim, striking the victim in the left leg.
When located, Hankerson will be arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
