Person of Interest Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Chef Menteur Highway

The NOPD is searching for the operator of the pictured vehicle, who is believed to have valuable information regarding a hit-and-run that occurred in the Seventh District.

Initial reports show on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at or around 3:49 a.m., the victim was struck by a vehicle in the 13000 block of Chef Menteur Highway. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene as a direct result of the injuries suffered during the crash. The perpetrator in this incident fled the scene without rendering first aid to the victim or requesting medical assistance.

The vehicle pictured above was in the area at the time of the incident and may have valuable information about the crash. The person is not currently considered a suspect wanted in connection with this incident at this time. However, investigators want to question the individual regarding this incident.
