NOPD is investigating a homicide that took place in the 2400 block of Forstall Street.
Today, June 23, 2018 at around 6:18 p.m., Fifth district officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Forstall Street to a call of a man down. Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive 33-year-old male down on the ground in the grassy area of a vacant lot, just off the street. The victim was suffering from apparent multiple stab wounds to the body and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's name and the official cause of death.
