Suspect Wanted For Fraud

New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a suspect wanted for fraud, forgery, identity theft, illegal transmission of monetary funds, and the illegal possession of a fraudulent identification document.

Wanted is Jari Lestae Williams (pictured), Black female, DOB 02/26/1991, height 5' 1", and weight 130 pounds.  Her last known address was in Gretna, LA.

According to investigators, around December 18, 2024 Jari Lestae Williams was able to obtain false identification via successfully impersonating the victim, thus obtaining apparently legitimate ID bearing her photo and the victim's information. She then committed a variety of financial crimes by presenting the false identification card and using the victim's social security number. Jari Lestae Williams is believed to still be in possession of the fraudulent identification and may present it if asked for proof of identity.

Anyone with information regarding the crimes or the location of Jari Lestae Williams is asked to call Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or to anonymously call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
