With the help of NOPD's Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) wanted subject Donnell Beard, Black male DOB: 01-04-2000, has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Dekalb County Georgia on June 25, 2024.
Beard was wanted for a May 23, 2024 incident where he allegedly opened fire on a group of people in the 800 block of Canal Street, wounding three people with gunfire.
He is charged with three counts of attempted murder and illegal use of a dangerous weapon.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Beard will be extradited back to New Orleans to face those charges in the next few weeks.
