NOPD Announces Significant Arrests, Clearances Between June 19-June 25

Listed below are arrests obtained between June 19-25, 2022, by the NOPD:

Homicide

  • On June 18, the NOPD obtained an arrest warrant for Sandra Jimerson (black female, DOB: 04-20-1949) on one count of second-degree murder. The warrant comes in the investigation of a domestic homicide incident on June 18 in the 3800 block of Gentilly Boulevard. Jimerson was detained on scene and hospitalized following the incident. Upon release from medical care on June 25, she was booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
  • On June 23, the NOPD arrested Tiaja Pierre (black female, DOB: 10-14-1999) on a charge of second-degree murder. The arrest came in connection with the investigation of a homicide on May 15 in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard.
  • On June 23, the NOPD arrested Traves Scott (black male, DOB: 05-15-1982) and Charles Penn (black male, DOB: 05-15-1992), each on charges of second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and for felon in possession of a firearm. The arrests came in the investigation of a homicide on June 8 in the 8000 block of Trapier Street.

First District

  • On June 20, First District officers arrested Bobby Smith (black male, DOB; 10-25-1983) for illegal carrying of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest. The arrest came in connection with an incident that day at the intersection of North Miro and Magic streets.

Second District

  • On June 22, NOPD Second District officers arrested Cody Cuevas (white male, DOB; 03-11-1995) for felon in possession of a firearm. The arrest came in connection with an incident that day in the 2600 block of Jena Street.

Third District

  • On June 23, NOPD Third District officers arrested Jamel Toledano (black male, DOB: 12-27-1982) for illegal carrying of a firearm. The arrest came in connection with an incident that day in the 3500 block of Clematis Street.  

Fifth District

  • On June 24, NOPD Fifth District officers arrested Webster Jackson (black male, DOB; 12-27-1983) for aggravated burglary and for domestic burglary. The arrest came during a traffic stop that day in the 2100 block of North Miro Street.

Sixth District

  • On June 22, NOPD Sixth District detectives arrested Santana Wollens (black male, DOB: 02-10-1975) and Toshiba Ancar (black female, DOB: 02-18-1982) for armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and false imprisonment. The arrests came in the investigation of an incident on June 19 in the 1400 block of Magazine Street. Gretna Police Department assisted in this arrest.
  • On June 23, NOPD Sixth District detectives and officers arrested Demarcus Thomas (black male, DOB: 09-05-1980) for attempted armed robbery. The arrest came shortly after an incident that occurred in the 2900 block of South Claiborne Avenue.

Eighth District

  • On June 23, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Timothy Huff (white male, DOB; 01-27-1989) for simple burglary. The arrest came shortly after an incident that occurred in the 500 block of Frenchmen Street.
  • On June 21, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Charles Jackson (black male, DOB; 07-06-1992) for illegal carrying of a weapon. The arrest was made in connection with an incident that day in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.
  • On June 21, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Graylin S. Lewis (black male, DOB; 08-27-1978) for felon in possession of a firearm. The arrest was made on the scene of an incident that day at the intersection of North Rampart Street and Ursulines Avenue.
  • On June 25, NOPD Eighth District detectives arrested Kendall Woolridge (black male, DOB: 01-17-1978) for attempted murder and illegal use of a weapon. Woolridge turned himself in to Eighth District officers later in the day. The arrest came in the investigation of a shooting incident earlier that day in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.
  • On June 22, NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals arrested Dwight Lockett (black male, DOB: 11-29-1989) for attempted armed robbery, aggravated battery and for felon in possession of a firearm. Locket was arrested at a resident in Slidell, La. and booked in St. Tammany Parish on unrelated charges there. He will be transferred to Orleans Parish. The arrest came in connection with the investigation of an armed robbery incident on May 29 in the 600 block of Commerce Street.
