NOPD Arrests Suspects in Investigation of 2013 Homicide

Today (June 4, 2021), the NOPD has arrested David H. Wisham Sr. (pictured, black male, DOB: 11-28-1980) and Kenneth W. Jones Jr. (pictured, black male, DOB: 12-27-1978) in the investigation of a double homicide that occurred on December 16, 2013 in the 12100 block of North I-10 Service Road.

In this incident, two adult females were found at the location and having sustained fatal wounds. Both victims were declared deceased at the scene. The victims were later identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office as 45-year-old Lisa Arbuthnot and 20-year-old Ryesha Arbuthnot.

Through the continued investigation by NOPD Homicide Unit detectives, both Wisham and Jones were developed and positively identified as the perpetrators in this incident. On April 23, 2021, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the two suspects.

On June 4, the NOPD was notified by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office that Wisham and Jones has been arrested in their jurisdiction. Both Wisham and Jones were transported from East Baton Rouge Parish to the Orleans Parish Justice Center, where each was booked with two counts of second-degree murder.
