NOPD Arrests Two Suspects in Missouri for 2016 Murder on General Meyer Avenue

Ronnie Smith (DOB: 7/20/94) and Ageeta Locure (DOB: 3/26/77) were arrested today after the NOPD’s Violent Offenders Squad (VOWS) and U.S. Marshals learned that both suspects wanted for murder were residing in Ferguson, Missouri.

The incident happened on October 8, 2016. At around 1:48 p.m., Fourth District officers responded to an aggravated battery by shooting in the 3300 block of General Meyer Avenue. Upon arrival, officers learned a victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim later died from his injuries at the hospital.

Through the course of the investigation, Smith and Locure were discovered as the perpetrators in the incident by Homicide Detective Rayell Johnson.  A collateral lead was sent to the U.S. Marshals Eastern Missouri Fugitive Task Force, who arrested both suspects in Ferguson, Missouri without incident. 

During the arrest, a 9mm handgun and extended magazine were found at the location.
