Composite Image Released of Suspect in Attempted Kidnapping at Dwyer Road and Flake Avenue

The NOPD has released a composite image of a suspect believed to be responsible for an attempted kidnapping at the intersection of Dwyer Road and Flake Avenue on April 23, 2017.

At about 5:45 p.m., the victim was walking in the area when she noticed a white four-door Pontiac sedan drive past her and then circle back to meet her. The subject then allegedly exited the vehicle and grabbed the victim, advising that she was going with him. The victim said she was was able to fight off the attacker and flee to a safe location.

The suspect is described as a black male believed to be in his late 40s standing approximately 5’3” to 5’4” in height and weighing about 200 pounds with a stocky build and ashy hands. He was last seen wearing an Army green t-shirt and blue jean pants. A composite sketch of the suspect based on the victim’s description is included with this release.
