New Orleans - The New Orleans Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying two unknown subjects believed to be responsible for a theft that occurred in the Fifth District.

On July 6, 2026, a victim reported that following an event held at approximately 10:00 p.m. on July 5, 2026, in the 2900 block of Royal Street, employees returned to the property at approximately 1:00 p.m. the following day and discovered that four to five power cords had been removed from an HVAC unit.

During the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance footage, which captured two unknown male subjects entering the property and removing multiple power cords from a HVAC machine before leaving the area. Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the individuals depicted in the surveillance images. Detectives note that one of the subjects, shown in the left image, has a distinctive walk that may assist in identifying the suspect.
