New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with locating a person of interest in connection with an investigation into illegal dumping.
Sought is Wilbert Smith (pictured left), Black male, DOB 02/24/1961.
According to investigators, on June 29, 2025 the pictured purple-color van was used in an illegal dumping incident in the 1000 block of Red Allen Way. The vehicle is registered to Wilbert Smith.
Note Wilbert Smith is NOT currently wanted for any crime and is sought because of information he is believed to possess.
