The NOPD, along with assistance from U.S. Marshals Task Force, arrested Joshua 'Josh' Kagler, (Black male, DOB:12/05/1986) this morning on multiple felony charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors.
Through investigation, the NOPD's Special Victims Divisions' Child Abuse Cold Case Unit identified Kagler as the alleged perpetrator in multiple crimes relating to juveniles.
Kagler is charged with:
5 Counts of 14:46.3-- Trafficking of Children for sexual purposes-- (Felony)
5 Counts of 14:81-- INDECENT BEHAVIOR WITH JUVENILES-- (Felony)
1 Count of 14:43-- Third Degree Rape-- (Felony)1 Count of 14:43.1-- Sexual Battery-- (Felony)
Kagler previously taught at several New Orleans-area schools, including George Washington Carver, McDonough 35, and Warren Easton High Schools.
The investigation is active and ongoing and no further information is available.
