NOPD Seeking Suspect in Seventh District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance with information that can help to identify and/or locate a suspect in the investigation of a shooting that occurred in the early hours this morning (July 4, 2024) in the 4900 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard.

The incident is believed to have occurred at about 4:55 a.m. with two victims – a male and female – having sustained gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital via EMS.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives determined that prior to the shooting incident, the pictured unknown Hispanic male was involved in a verbal altercation with victims before allegedly shooting the victims. The subject is believed to have fled the scene driving the pictured green in color pickup truck with ladders attached.

Anyone with additional information that can assist in this investigation is urged to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070. Those wishing to report information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
