NOPD Seeking Person of Interest for DNA Sample in Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking to locate a person of interest to obtain a DNA swab in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on July 19, 2022, in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have developed Gregory Woods (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-18-1986) as a person of interest. Woods is not currently wanted on criminal charges regarding this incident. However, detectives have obtained a search warrant for a DNA buccal swab from Woods.
