UPDATE: NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying another person of interest needed for questioning in a simple robbery investigation that occurred on July 3, 2021.

Although originally unknown, further investigation has revealed that the location of the incident occurred in the 400 block of Dauphine Street. The victim was there with Subject #1, when Subject #2 approached them a short time later.  At around 2:35 a.m., an argument began, and the victim was thrown to the ground before his cellphone, wallet, and Apple Watch were stolen.  The two subjects fled down Dauphine Street toward Conti Street.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest needed in a simple robbery investigation that occurred on July 3, 2021.

At around 1:30 a.m., the robbery incident occurred at an unknown location off Bourbon Street.  The victim was reportedly thrown to the ground and his cellphone, wallet, and Apple watch taken by an unknown male.  Security cameras captured the pictured subject accompanying the victim off a side street after casually approaching him.  The victim and the pictured subject did not appear to have had prior contact before the observed encounter.
