Suspects Sought in Theft Incident on Delaronde Street

NOPD officers are searching for the pictured subjects after their alleged involvement in a theft incident that occurred in the 300 block of Delaronde Street.

The victim told police that on July 16, 2018, he was at a gas station in the area when he was approached by an unknown white female, informing him that something was wrong with his front passenger tire. An unknown white male reportedly exited a tan vehicle which also reportedly contained two additional subjects and told the victim he would fix his vehicle for him. The suspects allegedly required the victim to pay for the repairs and escorted the victim to the ATM machine inside the store. When the victim reportedly could not get enough money, the individuals then allegedly relocated to the victim’s residence.

Upon arriving at the victim’s residence, the above subjects reportedly entered the victim’s residence by requesting to use the restroom. The female subject allegedly accompanied the victim while he retrieved cash from the safe within his residence. The victim then escorted the female to the front of his residence, paid for the repairs and the subjects fled the scene in a tan colored vehicle. The victim later returned to his safe to close it when he observed a large amount of cash was missing from the safe.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of the above subjects should call Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
