NOPD Identifies Suspect in Simple Robbery, Simple Battery on North Prier Street

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Louis Knox (DOB: 02-28-1992) in connection with a simple robbery and simple battery incident that occurred on July 14, 2018 in the 2100 block of North Prieur Street.

At about 9:52 a.m., the victim told police, he was exiting the gate to his residence in the 2100 block of North Prieur Street in attempt to walk to his vehicle. The victim stated that once he exited his yard, he was allegedly attacked by his dating partner, identified as Knox. The victim stated Knox repeatedly struck him in the face and head with a closed fist. The victim stated at one point, he was being struck so hard that he thought he was going to lose consciousness. The victim stated once he was able to gather himself and get to his feet, he discovered Knox had reportedly removed cash that was in his pocket. An arrest warrant was secured for Knox in this incident.
