The NOPD is searching for three unknown black males who forced their way into a victim's apartment in the 900 block of Poeyfarre Street.

The incident happened on January 26, 2017. At around 12 a.m., one of the victims told police he was lying on the sofa near the apartment’s side entrance door when he heard someone knocking at the door.  The victim then told police he opened the door after he thought it was an employee coming to drop off something. The victim said an unknown black male with a black hooded sweatshirt mentioned he was meeting someone at the location. The victim told the unknown suspect he had to check with his friend and the victim relocated to his apartment.

At that time, the unknown suspect pulled out a gun and two other suspects followed behind him forcing their way into the victim’s apartment all while demanding the victim's jewelry. The suspects then tied up the hands of the victim and his friend. The victim's friend was able to fight back using a chair and all three suspects were seen fleeing the location down Constance Street.

Anyone with any information regarding these suspects, please contact Eighth District Detectives at 504-658-6080. Citizens with information that can help solve a crime are asked to call Crimestoppers at  504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
