Suspect Sought for Armed Robbery on Lizardi Street

Suspect Sought for Armed Robbery on Lizardi Street

The NOPD needs the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an armed robbery suspect.

 

The victim reported that on January 21, 2017, at approximately 3:11 a.m., he left a store in the 5100 block of St. Claude Avenue and was walking back to his residence on Lizardi Street when he was approached from behind by an unknown black male. The suspect stuck an object in the victim’s back and demanded his property. The victim complied and the perpetrator fled northbound on Lizardi.

 

The suspect is described as a bald black male with a dark complexion, approximately 5’9” tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and khaki pants.

Armed Robbery

In Louisiana, an armed robbery conviction requires the offender to be imprisoned at hard labor for 10 – 99 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. When a firearm is used in the commission of the crime, the offender will be imprisoned for an additional 5 years that will be served consecutively to the original sentence.
