Person of Interest Sought in Simple Burglary on Louisiana Avenue

Person of Interest Sought in Simple Burglary on Louisiana Avenue

The NOPD is seeking to speak to a person of interest believed to have information relative to a simple burglary that occurred on January 24, 2017 in the 1100 block of Louisiana Avenue.

The victim told police that about 12:50 p.m., he heard a loud noise emanating from his back yard. When he went to inspect the situation, he was met by an unknown black male exiting a shed in the back yard. The victim said that the shed’s lock had been broken and a portion of the door had been split, allowing for the subject’s access. When the victim questioned the subject, the subject attempted to flee the scene. The victim chased the subject, who climbed over a neighboring fence, but was unsuccessful. The victim them wrestled the subject to the ground, removing the victim’s hat and reclaiming the items reportedly taken from the shed as the subject fled the scene.

The pictured individual is not considered to be the suspect in this incident, but is believed to have information regarding the incident.
