The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating an individual suspected of shoplifting from the Esplanade Food Mart, located at 1400 Esplanade Avenue. The incident occurred on January 19, 2017.
At about 1:45 p.m., the pictured subject entered the business and removed two six packs of beer. While attempting to flee the location, the store owner attempted to stop the subject. During the altercation, the subject allegedly struck the victim in the face with one of the packs of beer. The subject then fled the scene.
The subject is described as having tattoos under his left eye and on the left side of his neck.
