The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday evening (Jan. 23) and took the life of a 49-year-old man.
At around 7:19 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 5900 block of Stratford Place. When officers arrived, they discovered a delivery driver suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near his vehicle. EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
