NOPD Arrests Three for Vehicle Theft on Bullard Avenue

The NOPD has arrested one adult and two juveniles for stealing a car in the 7000 block of Bullard.

On January 6, 2017, the victim reported that she parked her vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Bullard Avenue at approximately 9 a.m. The victim left her keys in the ignition and the vehicle running when she entered the business and when she exited the business a few minutes later the vehicle was no longer parked where she left it.

The victim then located her vehicle and found it occupied by three unknown black females. She called police and NOPD officers approached the stolen vehicle, which was still occupied by the adult female and two juvenile females. The officers reviewed surveillance video from the business where the vehicle had been stolen and observed the same three females leaving the business just prior to the vehicle being taken.

Destiny Barthelemy (DOB:  11/10/1998) of Marrero, LA, was arrested along with a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old. They were charged with theft of a motor vehicle and illegal possession of a stolen vehicle.
