The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect and vehicle in connection with an ongoing armed carjacking investigation.
On January 9, 2023 at about 6:47 p.m., the victim reported being carjacked by an armed man in the 2600 block of Dreux Avenue in the Third District.
Through investigation, an unknown black male (pictured in 'heart' hoodie), was identified as the alleged perpetrator of this incident.
The suspect's vehicle is identified as a rust-colored Kia Sportage (pictured), and is being sought by investigators. The victim's vehicle has been recovered.
