The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Sixth District.
Around 8:27 p.m. Sixth District officers responded to the report of a man down inside a location in the 2000 block of Constance Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim died at the scene.
No further information is available at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine official cause of death and release the victims’ names upon completion of autopsy and notification of families.
Homicide Detective James Fyfe is leading the ongoing investigation.
