UPDATE: An arrest has been made in this incident. Andre Skinner (DOB: 4/5/2003) is charged with one count of negligent homicide and two counts of negligent injuring.
ORIGINAL: The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Seventh District.
Around 1:41 p.m. Seventh District officers were called to the 8000 block of Curran Blvd to investigate a shooting.
Upon arrival, they discovered a juvenile female suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim died at the scene.
An adult male has been detained for questioning in connection with the incident.
No further information is available at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine official cause of death and release the victims’ names upon completion of autopsy and notification of families.
