NOPD Seeking Person, Vehicle of Interest in Shooting Investigation

NOPD Seeking Person, Vehicle of Interest in Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a person of interest and a vehicle of interest in the investigation of a shooting that occurred today (January 1, 2022) at the intersection of Decatur and Spain streets.

At about 3:20 p.m., NOPD Fifth District officers were notified of a 1-year-old infant with multiple gunshot wounds arriving at a local hospital via private conveyance. Through investigation, the location of occurrence for this incident was determined to be the intersection of Decatur and Spain streets.

As investigation into the incident progressed, NOPD detectives developed and positively identified Corey Davis (pictured, black male, DOB; 03-25-1994) as a person of interest in this incident. Davis is believed to be driving the pictured silver 2012 Toyota Corolla with red rims and bearing Louisiana license plate 932DYR.

In addition to being sought in this investigation, Davis also has active warrants for his arrest in connection with multiple incidents.
