The NOPD has arrested Enrique J. Garcia (pictured, Hispanic male, DOB: 11-06-1998) in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on January 19, 2022 in the 800 block of Hagan Street.
At about 3:47 p.m., NOPD First District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered inside of a residence an unresponsive adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives quickly developed and positively identified Garcia as the perpetrator in this incident. Garcia was located shortly thereafter and placed under arrest without incident. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on a charge of second-degree murder.
